About

No matter the age or season, this journey we walk often hurls obstacles at us. For now, I am mostly surrounded with mamas of young children.  And they are tired! Exhausted really. Stressed. Anxious. Discouraged. I’ve been there, too. Some days I still am.

My hearts bleeds for the these beaten down souls. God has transformed what began as a gratitude blog to a proclamation of the glorious beauty He has created anew in me through our sweet and growing love affair. He has birthed a passion in me to reach out in love and encouragement to YOU in your life’s journey, no matter where you are in it.

You can do it, friend! He has amazing things planned for you. This space is where I cheer for you.

I am here to encourage you to live in the light of Truth.

Who am I to tell you? Just a messenger. Someone He gifted with words so You might know Him better.

I am:

  • Wife to Mark
  • Mama to 3 precious daughters and 1 amazingly rambunctious son
  • Mixed-media collage artist
  • Essential oil enthusiast and business owner
  • Studier of the Word
  • Introvert
  • God-sized dreamer
  • Nap-taker
  • Do-what-I-can-er
  • Lover of my Savior

And you? I’d love to meet you. Make yourself at home here. I’m thrilled to read your thoughts, so please feel free to leave comments here and/or on any posts.

Shalom!

  1. Mandi, Now it’s my turn to leave a comment thanking you for your sweet comment! I noticed right away that you were a Catholic when I joined the Incourage Artist group (which I have enjoyed being a part of) and I wanted to reach out earlier but I haven’t had a chance. Then I read your post about Allume and I was so sad to have missed it. I totally could have swung something like that. I’m jealous you got to meet Ann Voskamp. She is probably my absolute blogging fav. Anyway, it’s so good to connect with you and to know of another mom out there plugging away imperfectly. :) Bless you now and always, Mandi!

  2. This series has been perfectly timed for me, an over 60′s woman struggling with end-of-life realities with a narcicistic mother; being at times over-whelmed with grief for having never being ” good enough: for her. Many of the words you have written have suited my stage in life and I am deeply grateful.
Today i have read over the whole series again to take in DEEPER the words of encouragement, as my spirit is very low.
May God bless you richly and abundantly, for you have provided deep nourishment to my spirit, and I am sure to many other women as well.
    THANK YOU :)

  3. Looking forward to reading the series. I so need to be free of anxiety and depression and move into His greater light and purpose for my life.

    • Paula, it’s great to have you here! Please take your time, make yourself at home, and read your heart out! Anxiety and depression can have such a strong grip, but there is hope! God revealed some truths and tools that have helped me tremendously in getting a handle on my own anxiety and depression. I am excited to see what He does in you! Blessings.

  4. Yes to pointing the brokenhearted to the only One who makes hearts whole!

What fun to “meet you” via the GSD team. If you are at Allume this coming fall we’ll be able to connect face to face.
