Okay Forty, Let’s Do This!

Okay Forty, Let’s Do This!

Many people lament the approach of their fortieth birthday–over the hill and all that. Gone the youthful thirties maybe?

Not me. My outlook often falls outside the mainstream, and turning forty is no different. While these outlying perspectives used to create anxiety, I now embrace them as being uniquely me.

That’s what turning forty does, at least for me. No longer fighting what was or who I am. I’m genuinely excited for forty. Here’s how I celebrated:

The next day I got to go out to lunch and catch up with one of may favorite people. They may or may not have had me stand on a chair and dance while they sang to me… {Ahem.}

So, forty. I’m liking you. Let’s do this.

  1. Happy Birthday Mandy!!! I was told life starts at 40 once, but what I learned is that I started learning to let go more and live in grace a lot better, rather Inlearned how to really chose joy. :) Your pics are fun!!
