To stay sane in the midst of being a mom to four, wife to one, blogger, virtual assistant and CEO of my own business, I need to schedule creative time. As in actually writing it in on my calendar.
Yes, I am a fan of the adult coloring trend. It truly does relax me and let my stress melt away, and the colors themselves bring me joy.
I find the Life Verse Creative Journal set particularly delightful. First, it was created by a mother-daughter team, Jana Magruder and Morgan Grace Magruder. Isn’t that a unique and endearing aspect of this set?
Made up a journal/coloring book and a blank journal, this set takes coloring to the next level by introducing Scripture. The first journal offers 15 different life verses to color and contemplate, with additional pages with question and prompts to reflect on each verse. If one verse particularly speaks to you, you can adopt it as your life verse: one that guides you throughout your life.
The images are fun and upbeat, suitable for children and adults. My daughters gave their stamp of approval.
The accompanying blank journal serves as a place to continue recording thoughts and images on your life verse.
These journals are small enough to easily fit in a purse or tote for use on the go. School pick up lines or while traveling this summer, perhaps. Colored pencils and gel pens would be the media of choice for these journals, as markers may bleed through the pages.
Tempted as I am to jump in to these pages, the set makes a wonderful gift. I will likely hold onto them for such a special occasion.
You can find the Life Verse Creative Journal set at B&H publishing and most online bookstores, including Target, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.
Who do you know who’d love this set?
