Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:10-12
“OK, spill it. Why are you still reading this book?”*
Why am I?
That simple question shifted a whole lot into focus. It cut to the main issue.
After a few comments I posted our private Facebook group page, she knew she needed to hear my actual voice on this.
And to remind me that I already knew the answer.
Even so, she talked it through with me. Asked the right, pointed questions to lead me to the answer.
To put. it. down.
And it’s because of her prayer, her faith, her love that she could do so.
Could give me a safe place to process, unjudged, uncondemned.
Filled with grace.
The sweet soul connection initiated by our God, and forged through late-into-the-night girl talk at Allume, prompted us to leave a weekend spent together with a promise: prayer, support, encouragement, and accountability for the next year of our life journeys. In our writing and in our living.
So, when the application for Holley’s Dream Team asked for “… a God-sized dreams buddy who will commit to praying for me and keeping me accountable as I pursue my God-sized dream in 2013″, I had no hesitation where to go.
And because He is so good and gives in abundance, God has given me several other amazing women to support me. Here are a few:
Nikki, my other non-Dream Team blogger, Jesus to me, get me to my core friend, who was brave enough to offer a phone call, when we haven’t yet had the blessing of meeting in person. She’s on the front lines.
Ang, the friend of my heart, totally gets me, has heard many an ugly cry, loves me no matter what friend.
Heather, my local daily encourager, prayer warrior, and fellow dream-pursuer.
Other family members and friends who have shown wonderful support and continue to pray.
And you, precious readers, I treasure your every prayer and encouragement.
You are my eucharisteo, and you make my journey possible!
How can I encourage you in yours?
