God-Sized Dreaming! {and my one word 2013}

God-Sized Dreaming! {and my one word 2013}

That assault of near-panic, paralyzing anxiety that results whenever I must deal with anything related to him?

I don’t want that.

That guilt and shame of saying yes, or nearly saying yes, to a request when I know I need to say “no” for my emotional health?

I don’t want that.

That anger, bitterness, and invisibility that clouds me over when his name is mentioned, as though he is a normal person who didn’t shatter me?

I don’t want that.

That peace that comes with resting secure in the safety of His loving arms?

I want that.

That empowering healing that results from taking ownership and responsibility for my life?

I want that.

That mercy that issues from understanding that he was broken and wounded too, and that he wounded me from generation upon generation of woundedness?

I want that.

And so.

I’ve decided.

It’s time for change. For healing.

The Lord has whispered to me that it’s time to release the hold that the trauma of my childhood sexual abuse has on me.

I know that’s heavy.

But I also know that God’s light shines brightest in dark places.

It’s my God-sized dream.

I think I’m ready to go there.

My One Word for 2013:

You will see it there on my sidebar, too–under the knitted social media icons: Freedom! (Thank you, Melanie from Only a Breath, for the button!) It will stay there all year to remind me. 365 days to more freedom.

Will you remind me too?

I’m working alongside 99 other courageous women with God-sized dreams. Together we are teaming with Holley Gerth on a dream of hers: the release and promotion of her book that will show you how to do the same:

God-Sized Dreams Cover

Look for it in March. Or preorder on Amazon.

Can’t wait that long? This is another amazing resource that Holley just released. I’m using it to jump start my God-sized dream. Her ebook:

Do What You Can Plan by Holley Gerth copy

Do you have God-sized dream? It doesn’t mean huge. God-sized=what God wants to do in your life right now.

What is He nudging you to do? What has He given you a passion for?

I’d love to be your cheerleader.

We’ll be devoting some space here over the next 6 months to the dreaming…

I can’t wait!
